I have owned SONY, Olympus, Fuji in the past. Tested several Panasonic and other cameras. Nothing even comes close to Canon's quality of outputs. <br /> <br />Some people here compared this to Panasonic DMC-ZS3. HELLO ??? This new camera is 12.1MP while the DMC-ZS3 is 10MP only. You may ask whether extra 2.1MP makes a big difference? We are trying to upgrade from a 3.1 megapixel Kodak and honestly, we really couldn't see much better picture clarity with the canon. You'd think that jumping up 4X in MP we'd see a remarkable difference. We didn't. <br />We liked the camera, software is easy to install and use, and the zoom was nice, but too much money for the quality of pics.
