It fits perfectly on the kindle, and doesn't add bulk to the device, while adding the aesthetics of reading an ancient manuscript. Like any good billfold I am sure that the genuine leather will show signs of wear, but in my humble opinion, that will only add character to the overall appearance of the cover. The look, feel and smell of the genuine leather cover is...priceless. I guess its to be expected but this one makes you feel like you are reading an old book and it is very well made. Its real craftmanship as opposed to the highly branded options out there. I love it. By fast I mean, when I'm on a plane, I can take my Kindle DX out very quickly and put it away quickly too.
