I tried mate in South America and it was something that held my curiosity when I got home. So I found Guayaki and several other brands as bags to try. Wasn’t up for the whole gourd set up. This is my favorite straight Mate by far. I don’t like it as a first cup of the day too smoky but as the second cup it is perfect and late at night it is reminiscent of a nice single malt. Definitely a sophisticated taste. First cup of the Day I like the Pixie Green Tea mate.

This tea is great… it is all it is advertised to be and taste great too. I have noticed an increased energy level and feel better after just a week.

After reading about Yerba Mate in Eat This, Not That I had to try it. It is a great tasting tea for any tea lover to add to their flavor selection.

an old woody flavor I used to buy in another brand tea….always liked it.not bad in coffee either.

because the ones at TJ’s don’t have strings. These are individually packaged with strings. TJ’s are not separately wrapped and don’t have strings. While that saves on packaging, I find that having a string saves me from having to use a plastic spoon to dip and retrieve the tea bag.
