I ordered this after spending 20 minutes walking around looking at my kids toys and noticing they were all “Made in China”. As a matter of fact, the only thing that I could find in my house (other than parishible items) that was made in the USA was some good ole duct tape! I decided to google “made in the usa” and looked throught the toys that came up. I loved that this item was made in USA and out of recycled plastic. I am certainly not claiming to be one of those that recycles all that I can or even that I only shop USA…. I was just in one of those moods that day and so I ordered 2 Tea Sets. One for my daughter Hope, turning 2 and one for her little cousin, Sarah, 5 days younger than Hope. So what if it was 2 months before they would even have a birthday… I was prepared, and wouldn’t fall victim to last minute purchases ending up with once again a “made in china” product! I would like to mention that I realize the chinese do need money too and I wouldn’t want to stop completely in purchasing their products, however I tire of going through my kids toys to pull yet another recalled product before the lead soaks into my poor innocent little children’s skin! I was not prepared however, for the love that my little 2 year old daughter would have for this tea set! We were having her a party the next weekend so I really didn’t get her much to open on her actual birthday. As a matter of fact, my 5 yr old little boy thought she needed a present on her actual birthday so he got the teaset out and put it into a gift bag and if it weren’t for that, she wouldn’t have opened anything on her birhtday! I know, I am a horrible mommy! But when she opened it that night, we discovered that she really, really had an imagination! If you knew my daughter, you would know that we have hundreds of toys 99% of which she never plays with. She only wants to do what her big brother is doing and so, I was shocked when she proceeded to set her CareBare up at her little table and fix “coffee” for the two of them and the rest of the family as well. I looked at the clock. She played nonstop for an hour by herself! It was like she turned 2 and became another child! This was worth $100 to me! Thank you! Thank you!

This tea set is great! Not only it’s made from recycled material, it’s made in the USA!

I won’t have to worry about lead paint scare like toys that are made in China.

My daughter just loved it!! Even the packaging is enviornmentally friendly!

What else can you ask for?!

I was happy this was made in America, and that it is made from recycled milk jugs. But that’s mostly where the fun ends. The pieces are very slick and there is no texture for gripping. This flaw is especially apparent when one tries to grip the lids of the teapot and creamer. Much as I wanted to love this set, it is only so-so. I likely won’t replace it, it just won’t get used. Little girls don’t really need tea sets, anyway, right?

I already marked 3 for fun value, but really, if I could change it, I would give it about a 2.
