These balls are great for batting practice as well teaching kids how to catch. They are the same size as a real baseball but will not bruise a kid if they miss a catch. Once the kids see how soft they are compared to a real ball they are a little more confident about staying behind the glove to make a catch.

I use these for outfield drills, and let the kids catch fly balls with both hands without using their glove. Also works well with the jugs soft osss machine, for BP when your space is confined to a small area.

These Lite Flite balls are great for practice whether it's inside a gym or outside on the field. The great thing is while they are generally softer and have less weight than a real baseball, they still do have SOME weight to them. I would say the weight feels somewhere between a wiffleball and an "incrediball" as they are called. They really travel when hit and are generally easy to throw. I would suggest taking a look at them in a sporting good store first to make sure they are what you're looking for in a practice ball but I doubt you would be disappointed. Enjoy!

These jugs lite-flite baseballs were the preferred balls by our Coaches. They liked them (2 dozen) so well, we ordered an add'l 6 dozen for practices with the Jugs Lite-Flite Pitching machine !
